Assemble, set-up and disassemble entire machine components based on work plans and blueprints within a team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assemble and setup machine components per work plans and blueprints using a variety of tools such as mechanics hand tools, drills, spot welders, calipers and others as required.
  • Work with team members to solve problems with fit and operation.
  • Disassemble components and ready them for shipment.
  • May be required to learn and operate drills, grinders, forklifts, overhead hoist and other equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Able to use and understand all precision measuring instruments.
  • Understands basic math concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc.
  • Able to use a wide variety of tools.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school
  • Prefer auto (or other) mechanic background

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

  • Supply own hand tools.
  • Ability to change assignments frequently.
  • Is consistently at work on time and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Follows instruction, responds to management direction.
  • Takes responsibility for own actions.

TRAVEL

  • This position does have the opportunity for overnight travel for customer service needs. Could be domestic or international travel (company paid). COVID-19 protocols are in place and travel is only done when appropriate.
