Set up and tryout new equipment in assembly area and at customers' facilities. Diagnose and repair on-site existing customer equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up and tryout, new equipment per contractual agreement.
- Run test procedures and tryout new products in the assembly plant and at customers' facilities as needed.
- Obtain necessary customer signatures on buyoff and safety forms.
- Work with team members and other departments to solve problems with operation.
- Diagnose and repair on-site existing customer equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ability to use a wide variety of tools and precision instruments.
- Able to read blue prints and follow oral and written instructions.
- Basic math skills in all units of measure.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED
- Prefer formal industrial-related training
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
- Must supply own hand tools.
- Willing to learn new concepts and skills. Self-starting personality.
- Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time (domestic and international)
- Prefer previous assembly or repair experience with roll forming, FMS, and coil processing equipment.
