Set up and tryout new equipment in assembly area and at customers' facilities. Diagnose and repair on-site existing customer equipment.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set up and tryout, new equipment per contractual agreement.
  • Run test procedures and tryout new products in the assembly plant and at customers' facilities as needed.
  • Obtain necessary customer signatures on buyoff and safety forms.
  • Work with team members and other departments to solve problems with operation.
  • Diagnose and repair on-site existing customer equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of tools and precision instruments.
  • Able to read blue prints and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills in all units of measure.

 EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Prefer formal industrial-related training

 OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

  • Must supply own hand tools.
  • Willing to learn new concepts and skills. Self-starting personality.
  • Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time (domestic and international)
  • Prefer previous assembly or repair experience with roll forming, FMS, and coil processing equipment.
